The Palácio Presidencial is a Cape Verdean monument located at Rua Pedro Álvares Cabral. It was constructed in the end of the 19th century of colonial and neo-greco architecture and used as a residence of the Portuguese governor until Cape Verde gained independence in 1975. It is in the downtown area of the capital city, Praia, in a part known as Platô in the southernmost part.

The market of Assomada, founded in 1931 is one of the largest on the island of Santiago, with a large variety of agricultural products and crafts. It is the central collection and distribution point for products produced throughout the surrounding countryside, and while the consumer-focused market is very large and vibrant, the majority of the trade is between middlemen (rabidantis) who bring the produce to larger national and international markets.

Cape Verde - Cidade Velha
Located off Africa's northwest coast, this town was the first European colonial settlement in the tropics. Some of the meticulously planned original design of the site is still intact, including a royal fortress, two towering churches and a 16th-century town square. Today, Cidade Velha is an Atlantic shipping stop and center for Creole culture. The city became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2009
